About Ferngully Productions
Liam Moore started Ferngully Productions four years ago with a set of speakers, a controller, and a stubborn belief that event entertainment on the Sunshine Coast could be better. Not louder. Better.
He'd been a music obsessive since high school, DJing house parties and mates' weddings long before it became a business. The turning point was a friend's wedding where the hired DJ showed up late, played the wrong genre for an hour, and left before the last song. Liam thought: this isn't hard to get right if you actually care.
So he started caring professionally. Four years and 500+ events later, Ferngully Productions runs every weekend across South East Queensland. Weddings, corporate events, school formals, milestone birthdays, community festivals. Liam personally handles the planning for every booking, curates the music, runs the equipment, and often MCs the night.
He's invested in proper gear over the years. QSC and Pioneer audio. Professional moving-head lights, uplighting, lasers, haze machines. But the gear only matters because the person running it pays attention. Liam reads the room. He knows when to build energy and when to let a moment breathe. That's not something you get from a playlist on shuffle.
Based in Cooloolabin in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Ferngully Productions serves the entire coast, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and regional QLD. The 5.0 Google rating from 38 reviews says more than a bio ever could.
Show Up Early, Stay Late
Setup starts well before guests arrive. Soundcheck done, lights tested, backup plan ready. We don't pack up until the last song finishes and the last guest leaves.

A 21st birthday and a corporate gala need completely different energy. We plan the music ahead of time, but the real skill is adjusting on the fly when the crowd tells you something different.
